In this workshop we will learn to create decorative and functional baskets using steel wire as an armature for some of our baskets and vessels. We will learn about various thickness of wires and how the sculpture can change shape accordingly. We will weave other baskets using aluminum wire by applying random weaving and finger crocheting around objects to create baskets of different shapes and sizes. Even though these baskets have holes, they can be lined with felt or can be used for larger objects like chocolate and candy.  But be careful because this activity can be addictive!

Materials supplied: Wire

Tools needed: Wire cutters and round needle nose pliers
