This basket is woven on a slotted wooden base using a two-two twill weave and a lashed rim. The twill makes an attractive pattern on the sides, or you can bring up the sides more gradually for a wider basket. There will be a choice of several colors for the weavers – blue, green, orange or all natural.

Materials supplied: Wooden base, reed, sea grass rim filler, waxed linen lasher and cable ties
Tools needed: Pencil, sturdy scissors, measuring tape, container for soaking reed, clothes pins and a scraper for thinning rims
