We use long leaf pine needles from the southern coastal regions that have been treated with glycerin; so are softer, flexible and glistening. You will have a choice of several different types of bases – wooden cut out, oyster shell, resin, slice of black walnut or ceramic. I will demonstrate several stitches and you can incorporate beads or wrapped sections to make a unique basket. If you have coiled with pine before, I will demonstrate new stitches, open and closed wrapping techniques, using other materials or any other requested stitches.
