Prerequisites: Comfortable with 3 rod wale, start stop weaving and shaping. Can apply a basic rim.
This lovely basic basket is made on a sharp-top D handle with flat and flat oval reed. Dyed round reed is woven using 3-rod wale, then used to embellish sides of basket. The rim has a fancy cane rim application; great to use on any of your future baskets. Butterflies are sewn onto the basket after completion.
supplied: All materials…handle, spokes, weavers, rim parts and butterflies.
Tools needed: Container for water, measuring tape, pencil, shears, side cutters, awl, hippo clamps or clothespins for rim.
